The Find: Something prickly
The Backstory: The Little Explorer was pretty sure a cactus counted as something prickly, but wanted to check – just to make sure. Turns out he learned something else: All that green stuff is super soft and fuzzy!
It's lovely to meet you! Sounds like you have a wonderful place to explore nature. Remember: You don't have to have all the answers. Kids love making their own discoveries and as long as we can encourage & support that, we're doing something important.

HI! I love this blog. I am new to the whole idea of blogging and to be quite honest have no idea what I am getting myself into. I can barely navigate facebook some days. I am a single dad that lives in Brevard NC. If you haven't heard Brevard has been rated very highly in being an awesome place to raise outdoor kids. My four year old daughter an I are out nearly everyday in the forest. I
