I warned you I had a few fun things up my sleeve to help celebrate Let’s G.O. (Get Outside) Month! As promised, each week this month I’ll be hosting a “Get Outside” giveaway featuring one of our favorite things.
Our favorite things for encouraging nature explorations, that is.
This week’s item: Kids Clear Bubble Umbrella
Why we love it: We love playing in the rain. Mostly jumping in puddles, really. But the explorers also dig their clear bubble umbrellas (which you can check out in detail here).
The reason I prefer this umbrellas to others is that it’s kid-sized and provides great coverage, is simple to use, and is light and easy for little hands to hold on to (even my 2 ½- year old can carry his own).
It’s also ideal for twirling and spinning in puddles. But best of all, it’s completely transparent – which means young explorers can look up at the rain from underneath. How cool is that!?
To enter: Leave a comment sharing your favorite outdoor rainy day activity. Please be sure I can find an email address for you from the profile you use to leave your comment.
The nitty-gritty:
- This giveaway will run through midnight PST on Saturday, April 9, 2011.
- Sorry, but this giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.
- The winner will be chosen using the nifty random number generator at random.org.
- Winner will have 24 hours to reply to my notification; if I don’t hear back after that, I’ll pick another winner.
Good luck!
Note: The item I’ve chosen for this giveaway was not donated or offered up to me in any way. I’m simply sharing one of our favorite things with our favorite nature friends.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your favorite things to do outside in the rain. Congratulations to this week's winner: Sarah. 🙂
