This week’s list was inspired by a post called 8 Summer Firsts, from fellow nature girl Michele at Fun Orange County Parks. It got me thinking about our own summer “firsts.” Here goes:
1. First trip to the family farm
2. First ride on a tractor
3. First time seeing fireflies
4. First hike without a baby/child carrier
5. First frog sighting in the wild
6. First time bike riding through Yosemite Valley with kids
7. First time hearing owls hoot at night
8. First time panning for gold
9. First taste of frozen custard (um … yum!)
10. First (non-backyard) camping trip
