Give a Kid a Camera: February

by Debi Huang

On the second Wednesday of each month, I invite you to join the Give a Kid a Camera series. Come share photos of nature taken by the children in your life! No worries about sticking to a certain theme each month; just head outdoors and let your kids snap away.

Tip of the Month: Focus on the Familiar
To kids behind a camera, the whole world is exciting. You don’t need to venture very far beyond your own backyard to find plenty of images worth capturing.

Here’s one The Big Explorer took earlier this month at a nearby neighborhood park.

Need ideas for getting outside this month? Check out 10 ways to explore nature in February.

To join the fun:

  • Post a photo (or photos) of nature taken by a child on your blog. (Please only share photos that you have permission to share.)
  • Feel free to write about the photo – where you were when it was taken or why your child chose to take it in the first place. Just a picture and a caption are fine, too.
  • Link back here in your post so your readers can check out other photos and join the fun, too.
  • Add the link to your post to the list below.
  • This link will close on Wed., Feb. 29, 2012.

Happy exploring!

It's always nice to share.
