Best Hikes for Tykes in Yosemite National Park

by Debi Huang

Some of you know how much the family and I love Yosemite National Park. Heck, I’m already busy at work planning adventures for our first trip of the season next month. It’s thanks to a family cabin located in Wawona, a town just inside the South Entrance of the park, that we spend so many wonderful days and nights there. Check it out (the mint green paint color is a holdover from the grandparents and will soon be changing)!

I truly consider myself blessed to be able to share this place with family and friends.

So you might understand why I’m excited to share with you a guest post I just wrote for my friend Sharlene, newly appointment Blog Editor in chief over at Trekaroo, on the best hikes for tykes in Yosemite National Park. I hope you’ll check it out and maybe even be inspired to consider a trip to this beautiful place with your own family. I promise it won’t disappoint.

After you read the post, take a look-see at all that Trekaroo has to offer. It’s a great place to see what fellow parents think about all kinds of adventures, grand and simple, close-to-home and faraway. Get exploring!

It's always nice to share.

My parents were over this morning and we talked about going to Yosemite next weekend! Wish us luck finding a place 🙂 Definitely looking forward to exploring areas we'd never considered!

Ooooohh I'm envious of the family cabin in Wawona! I think I've told you that Yosemite was an important place in my childhood. I can't wait until I can figure out a way to fund a family vacation there. Now heading over to Trekaroo…

That's wonderful that you have a family cabin so close to such an amazing location! I visited Yosemite once, when I was around 6 or 7, while visiting my aunt in California. I don't remember a lot from that day — I do remember the massive half-dome and seeing deer. I'd love to get back there someday…so I'm going to check out your guest post and file that information away!
