Creating last year’s Thankfulness Tree helped get us all in the mood for the holidays. This year, I thought it might be fun to head outside with our cameras and capture images of things we are thankful for.
This was especially fun since we’re currently in Yosemite, where everything looks and feels a little more like fall than it does back home. While The Little Explorer was overjoyed to jump in puddles and run through piles of leaves, The Big Explorer got really into the experience. So much so that he decided he wanted to share his photos and thankfulness list with all of you.
What I Am Thankful For, by The Big Explorer (age 7)
I am thankful for trees because they give us air and in the fall, you can see the cool colors of their leaves.
I am thankful for shelter because it gives us protection when storms come.
I am thankful for snow because I get to play in it and when it dries up, it gives us water.
I am thankful for water because if we didn’t have water, there would be no humans.
Note: Photo taken this summer by mom |
I am thankful for dirt because it’s hard and you can make it soft so you can use it and play with it.
I am thankful for The Little Explorer because he likes water and he’s my brother.
Wonder what your kiddos are grateful for this season? Take your own thankfulness walk and find out!
Happy Exploring!

What a great list from your kiddo! That's one for the scrapbook. It'll make some great memories when they are older.
