Saturday Snapshot: National Park

by Debi Huang

Welcome to “Saturday Snapshot,” a weekly feature that highlights photos we take as part of our seasonal nature photo scavenger hunts.

The List: The 2013 Summer nature photo scavenger hunt (You can see our complete collection of #summernaturehunt photos on Instagram and Pinterest.)

The Find: National park

The Backstory: We visited five national parks on our epic summer road trip earlier this month, no two alike. This was taken at the Spruce Tree House, the third largest cliff dwelling in Mesa Verde National Park. It was constructed between A.D. 1211 and 1278 by the ancestors of the Puebloan peoples of the Southwest.
