The Backstory: This was taken at the Kelso Sand Dunes trailhead in Mojave National Preserve (in Barstow, CA) during our road trip last month.
LOL! You should stop by for a visit some time. The visitor center alone is worth a look-see.
I've only been to gas stations in Barstow. Who knew there were other reasons to stop?
