It’s time to start talking Easter baskets. This isn’t a new topic around these parts – last year I shared 20 Easter basket ideas for nature kids, and before that 10 Easter gift ideas for little nature explorers.
Those lists are great, but now that The Explorers are a little older, much of my gift giving is based on their unique interests. So this year I thought I’d share ideas based on a variety of potential nature-themed interests.
By the way, if you don’t celebrate Easter, consider these ideas handy for creating a spring fun kit. What a great way to get the kids excited about a new season!

This year I'm thinking of knitting some socks and throwing a couple insectivorous plants in there 🙂 I better get on that knitting…

Great ideas! My Easter basket theme is usually "home made" with a bit of nature thrown in. I love the suggestion of seeds and a live insect kit! Right up my alley.

I'm not a fan of bringing things into our home that are basically just "junk," so I hear ya, Joy! Love the idea of using some of these ideas as party favors!

Debi, how great to have so many basket themes, and not one of them contains those neon-colored Peeps! I'm always supportive of the ideas that exclude plastic junky toys from the dollar store and candy! I think many of these would make good party favors (trimmed down a bit to keep expenses in line).
